camerawork is used well in the music video. an example of this is starting shot of the sequence where the group are being hidden by the lights with the use of a long shot this makes the audience want to figure out who they are because they are being secretive

.mise-en-scene is also used well in this when we see them having different costumes for the different settings, this can show that the they have put in the time to research what they were going to wear for the different locations and that they were resourceful when choosing the locations to fit the genre and performance of the video.

editing is used well in the music video as they have edited it in time with the music and the beat so that the audience are not looking at one scene for a long duration so it means that it keeps it interesting for the audience .also the cross cutting I used well wen it is swapping from one setting to the other.

the camera work in this video was done effectively as it fitted the genre and the style of music by the extreme close ups of the face this makes the audience intrigued and want to find out who this woman is and why most of her face is covered.

 

as you can see from both these pictures there is hardly anything being given away and is staying mysterious.

mise-en-scene in the clip is used well as it suits the genre and style of music we see low key lighting and many different settings which can make the audience have a shiver effect as its a spooky/scary genre.

editing is used well at some points of the video. an example is where the cutting gets a lot quicker than it originally was this makes it more interesting for the audience to watch.

What I can take away from this.

• from watching these two music videos I have learned that you can use things such as costume/make up from your own possession this then limits the factor of going out to by new costumes or certain make up for what you are doing.
• secondly an idea that I can take from this is that from the editing stage you need to make sure that the lip sinc matches the lyrics of the song that you have chosen this then makes it look a lot better than roughly matching the lip sinc with the lyrics.
